Loser: NBC's comedies
We are way too lazy to try to go back to find the last time NBC didn't place a show in the Best TV Comedy field. OK. We did.
It was actually just in 2006. [Amended: "My Name Is Earl" was nominated in 2006.] But before that? It was too far back to find. This year, Globes voters gave their usual nods to "30 Rock" stars Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey, but shunned the series. They also nominated Amy Poehler, but didn't recognize "Parks & Recreation." Both "The Office" and Steve Carell were shut out. "Community" (pictured here) and "Up All Night" were nowhere to be found. And there was nary a nomination for "Whitney." OK. Some of those snubs aren't as shocking as others.
