You list 30 movies but don't include "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", the film with the highest box office and the best reviews of the year so far by any measure?

    That's ludicrous.

"Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" not making it would not be "shocking" at all. It's a very competitive year.

Also, you don't acknowledge that "The Descendants" and "The Artist" are locks (the only two so far). How can you have more confidence in the unseen "War Horse?"

50/50 isn't a strong BP contender, but it's still miles ahead of Jane Eyre and Carnage. It has enough traction to be included here.

    • 50/50 is a quality film, but it's best chances are with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Sad how eveyone is forgetting the true underdog this year... The biggest audience pleaser, runner-up to The King's Speech... A small film shot in Kenya called The First Grader... Hands down the best film released this year... It will surprise you all...

Jaz It was actually shot in South Africa but I get it; no one has pegged it for best foreign pic and it's pretty damn good

I thought 50/50 was better than Crazy Stupid Love. Loved Drive. I'm really hoping that the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will be good, but only because I've read all the books.
