Nice to use Tron legacy as the image for the Visual Effects catagory when it didnt get a nomination...

  • No Best Director nod for Nolan? No Best Actress for Tilda Swinton? No Best Supporting Actor for Andrew Garfield? No Best Song for Shine?

Wasn't expecting wins, but atleast nominations.

And how the hell did Hereafter get a Visual Effects nod ahead of Tron Legacy??

James Franco had a great year... but is nominated for the wrong movie. His performance in HOWL was superior to 127 HOURS.

Uggh. The academy never fails to disappoint: Nominations for the Cohen brothers over Nolan when True Grit was totally meh
No nom for The Town for best picture
Another year of horrible editing nominations. If Danny Boyle wins one more I will have to find a new profession because it tarnishes our names. Inception had some of the best editing I've seen in some time and Nolan gets shunned again.
The Kids Are Alright was just alright and not any more special than a handful of indie flicks without Awards buying money/producers.
At this point I think I just want Social Network to wipe the field so I at least know the technical categories are going to a film that knew what it was doing.

Jonnybon The Coens are better than Nolan when it comes to directing, Boyle is great, The Kids Are All Right is fantastic, and The Social Network is too but it will not wipe the field.
