Cannes Film Festival 2013

2011 Golden Globe Nominations Winners & Losers: 'Glee,' Leonardo DiCaprio, 'Lost'

Winner: Michael Douglas

Winner: Michael Douglas

What a nice way to end a very rough year.  Michael Douglas' personal battle with cancer sidetracked any campaign for what was the best reviewed performance in Oliver Stone's "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps." At the time of its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, more than one journalist thought Douglas was shoe in for another Oscar nomination.  That may not come to pass, but the Globes didn't forget Douglas though and reward him with his seven Globe nomination. And no, that doesn't count his 2004 Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award either.
