Could this be the year's most competitive category?
Dianne Wiest, "Rabbit Hole"
Pro: A two-time Oscar winner, the legendary actress takes what could be a cliched role and almost steals the movie from co-stars Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. And considering how good she is, that's saying something.
Con: The fact is Wiest is a two-time winner. Jack Nicholson is the only living actor with more than two statues and only four actors have ever won three or more. Does Wiest belong in that company? Members will ponder that scenario, but it won't stop her from getting a nod.
