Will a former winner dominate the field or will the Academy crown a new champion?
Bill Murray, "Get Low"
Pro: "Get Low" is continually regarded as a perennial Academy member favorite (until we discover it isn't) and Murray provided much of the necessary comic relief in Aaron Schneider's period drama. Murray has only been nominated once for "Lost in Translation," but has delivered a slew of worthy turns over the years in films such as "Rushmore," "Ed Wood," "Groundhog Day" and "Broken Flowers."
Con: Murray is absolutely due, but it will be hard for the vet to crack this very competitive category.
