Fincher, Nolan, Russell, Boyle, Aronofsky, Hooper, Coens, Weir, Leigh, Coppola, Scorsese - who gets left out?
Sofia Coppola, "Somewhere"
Pro: A winner in the best original screenplay category for her groundbreaking "Lost in Translation" (where she was also nominated or best director), "Somewhere" is almost an echo of that drama set in Los Angeles instead of Tokyo. "Somewhere" was also the surprise winner of the Golden Lion at this year's Venice Film Festival.
Con: While expected to receive strong reviews, the theme and tone of the picture maybe too similar to "Translation" to find Coppola in the nominated circle again.
