2011 Best Director Oscar Contenders
Fincher, Nolan, Russell, Boyle, Aronofsky, Hooper, Coens, Weir, Leigh, Coppola, Scorsese - who gets left out?
Clint Eastwood, "Hereafter"
Pro: Where do we start? The Hollywood legend has two best director trophies for "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby." He has two other nominations in this category for "Mystic River" and "Letters from Iwo Jima." And, if the last decade has taught pundits anything, Oscar loves Clint and Clint loves Oscar. You can never count him out.
Con: Unfortunately, "Hereafter" did not enjoy the same stellar reviews or success as some of his other Academy favorites. Landing a nomination here would be a big, big surprise.
