2010 MTV Video Music Award Winner Predictions: Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Eminem
Why does Beyonce, Drake or Katy Perry land in the VMA mix?
Best Female Video
Even with an album (OK, an album-and-a-half) that dropped many moons ago, Lady Gaga proves she still has what it takes to dominate this year's MTV Video Music Awards, leading in nominations.
In the following pages we outline her competitors and all the top categories at the VMAs, to be held Sept. 12 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif. All videos can be seen on the 2010 MTV VMA website.
Here are the nominees for Best Female Video:
Beyoncé f/ Lady Gaga, "Video Phone (Extended Remix)"
Katy Perry f/ Snoop Dogg, "California Gurls"
Ke$ha, "Tik Tok"
Winner: Lady Gaga,"Bad Romance"
Taylor Swift, "Fifteen"
Unless Taylor Swift fans still hung up on "Fearless" move in throngs to the voting pages, Gaga's "Bad Romance" is in it to win it. It has some of the singer's most essential dance moves, outrageous outfits and memorable scene, trumping whatever mischief Ke$ha got into earlier this year with her drunk anthem. And Katy Perry won't have the votes to trump the emotion of "Fifteen" or the claws of "Romance."
Sorry Hype Williams -- your time will come not with the superstar pairing of Gaga and Beyonce, but with the crew in Best Male Video...
