In the "Breakout Comedic Performance", your "Upset" column clearly indicates that Ben Stiller is the ONLY nominee not worthy of any award and you are right. But, please, God, please have just one look, ONE microsecond-long look at your "Who Should Win" line and see which mistake you've made there.
This goes beyond proofreading or typos. This is the reason there are so many people out there who still don't take online/new media journalism seriously.

Infact, I have not even mentioned it in my comment and completely agree with your pick of Sandra Bullock for the award. So, concentrate on the comment a wee little bit and notice that I am talking about the contradiction you have made in the "Who Should Win" line.

May 31, 2010 at 10:35PM EST Reply to CommentHonestly, I hated Avatar so saying that it should win best movie is laughable in my opinion. There is nothing to it except for the special effects. The dialogue is cheesy and the story is so old that it's boring. At least New Moon was interesting.

June 1, 2010 at 6:36PM EST Reply to Commentpersonally speaking,i think that new moon will dominate the awards due to its fans who should get a life and not always surfing on internet and vote for twilight 10 times the day.there are more winning-deserve movies such as avatar,harry potter and the half blood prince,alice in wonderland and the hangover.also there are more notable actors from kristen stewart and robert pattinson.for instance,johnny depp,sandra bullock,helena bonham carter,zoe saldana,sam worthington,bradley cooper.emma watson,amanda seyfried, and many more but they will loose because twilight fans are ready to kill theirselves for anything close to the twilight series.the fact that this movies owes its successful award run to its fan base can be observed by new moon's box office run.movies such as avatar,harry potter and the half blood prince,who have much greater box office run than new moon etc. will loose awards because fans of twilight were voting 24 hours the day.this is why sites have to allow the users or whatever they are to vote only once not 20 times in a single day!

June 1, 2010 at 6:38PM ESTguest i agree that some people go on and vote many times over, which is wrong. HOWEVER...this is the mtv movie awards, which means that it's the FANS votes that count. Because of this, BEST MOVIE or any other category are considered that in different terms than academy awards or any other award shows are. This is where the fans count, so if the New Moon actors and actresses get the awards, then it's just showing that their fans care the most to vote for them. Yes, the mtv movie awards are first and foremost a popularity contest...so in saying that, I don't think it should come as any surprise if New Moon grabs alot of awards. If other movies/actors beat them out, that's awesome that fans of those other people/movies are showing the support, and I say all the power to them! But this is definitely a popularity contest.
