Kings of Leon, Black Eyed Peas and others vie in major categories like record of the year, album of the year and new artist

<p>The 52nd annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast this Sunday (Jan. 29), and it's the ladies that are <a href="http://www.hitfix.com/galleries/2009-12-2-beyonce-taylor-swift-or-jay-z-who-scored-the-most-grammy-nods">leading many of the major categories</a>. Beyonce and Taylor Swift had ten and 8 nominations each, but Lady GaGa -- a critical and commercial favorite -- may nab all the statues in her five. Jay-Z, Maxwell, Kings of Leon, Black Eyed Peas and others are all trying to make their showing as well.</p>
