2010 Golden Globes TV Predictions: 'True Blood,' 'Glee' and Hugh Laurie

Will the Globes reward Emmys runner ups?

Will Sunday night's Golden Globes be all about familiar winners like "30 Rock" and "Mad Men" or is the Hollywood Foreign Press ready for a changing of the awards guard?

We're predicting the latter.

It's almost a given that FOX's "Glee" is ready to enjoy a breakout night, with Lea Michele seeming like a near certain winner for lead actress in a comedy and the series poised on the brink of a coronation.

Plus, after a win for Anna Paquin last season, this may be the right time for HBO's "True Blood" to take its first meaningful series win. After all, tis the season of The Vampire.

But knowing the Golden Globes, if we predict surprises, the winners will all be lame sticks-in-the-mud and if we predict entrenchment, they'll all be surprises...

I'm absolutely amazed that 'Chuck' hasn't even a single nomination. Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski both deserve nominations in 'Best Lead' in a comedy. Adam Baldwin absolutely deserves a 'Best supporting actor' in the comedy slot. 'Chuck' itself richly deserves a best comedy nomination. C'mom peeps, make it so!

Pimenta Well, even the golden globes ignored Galactica. If this series wasn't on a spaceship, it would win most of the awards.
But those idiots can't take their head from their ass. Galactica will be remembered 50 years from now and all the crap they nominated will be long fogotten.
They lost a lot of respect from all the scifi comunity, not recognizing the value of Galactica. And they missed their final opportunity to do so.

Trekscribbler Methinks you're barking up the wrong tree. This is the 'Golden Globes,' and this is Daniel Fienberg.

I think Michele and Lynch will win for "Glee."

But surely "Modern Family" will win best comedy.

Well it would have been a bit strange if I'd predicted any Golden Globe wins for "Battlestar Galactica," wouldn't it? - Daniel

I think Best Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy is the hardest category to predict.

Will they go with reliable commedianne Tina Fey, the talented and deserving actress Toni Collete or the new kid on the block Lea Michele.

Courtney Cox and Edie Falco don't stand a chance.

This one is a real three-horse race.
