Also, there isn't a movie called "Un Prophet". It's "Un prophète" or "A Prophet", and if you're called "Das Weisse Band" "The White Ribbon", you ought to call it "A Prophet" (the American theatrical title)
Also, the song that will win is "I See You" - not "I Will See You"

Also, that "Up in the Air Pic" with Clooney and Vera Farmiga looks photoshopped, even tho its not. Strange angle, that.
Also, 500 days of Summer is better than the other competitors in that Motion Picture category. Its got no chance either?
Larry It's an open category, because none of them are very good. So any of them could win, but "It's Complicated" is the most likely.

January 11, 2010 at 2:23PM EST Reply to CommentNow i'm not trying to be too nitpicky here but there was a lot of "but so and so and so and so can still win..." I say give who you think should and will win, with ONE possible upset.
I digress, 500 Days of Summer was highly critically acclaimed vs it's other nominees, aside from the Hangover most of those films weren't too loved. So it'd be nice to 500 find some love, and as far as the acting nominees it's such a bizaree list, esspecially best actress musical/Comedy...like Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock both don't deserve noms there and i don't really care for Bullock's nom in Drama either, not a bad preformance but rather pushing into cheese territory...well anyways there are my thoughts.

Bigelow is good, but let's face it, what Cameron did to further the business with Avatar is nothing short of extraordinary. He made a good film, and one that was probably somewhere in the magnitude of 384839583039 times more difficult to make than The Hurt Locker. Plus, Bigelow hasn't won before, and all of her other films are critical and commercial failures for the most part. Can anyone say "The Widowmaker"? LOL...

January 12, 2010 at 2:29AM EST Reply to CommentI will be happy if Meryl Streep wins the musical/comedy category for Julie/Julia but I kinda disagree with the thing that is a kind of "shame" category this year... Marion Cotillard did a great job in 'Nine' and many critics and viewers agree on that despite the movie's failure. There is a reason why categories exist, here they are awarding a performance, not the movie itself, there's a movie category and in that case we all know that the musical/comedy movie will not go to 'Nine' but why not to Cotillard, who was the only savable thing of it with an amazing performance?... I think it will be between Streep and Cotillard
