Lowdown:
It's an odd year when almost *all* of the best new show possibilities seem to be in the Comedy category. "The Good Wife" is probably the only new network show capable of slipping in. As a result, expect a lot of sameness from the drama nominees, especially since "True Blood" already broke into the field last year. "Mad Men" is bound to still be the favorite, but if "True Blood" secures its nomination, it could be exactly the sort of not-at-all-surprising "surprise" winner the Foreign Press favors. And which group will be the first to recognize "NCIS"? It's TV's most popular show and both "CSI" and "Grey's Anatomy" found their ways into Outstanding Drama Series folds over the years. The Globes always like being the first to recognize a show and maybe they'll get a head-start on recognition for FX's "Sons of Anarchy"?
