How did Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien, Tina Fey and Mathew Weiner do in our Emmy run-down?
On one hand, HBO had an utterly dominant night. With "Temple Grandin," "The Pacific" and "You Don't Know Jack" scooping up Emmys, you'd have thought no other network was in the movie/miniseries business. [Note: Very few other networks are in the movie/miniseries business.] On the other hand, on the original scripted series front, where was HBO? AMC dominated on the drama side and comedy was all about the aforementioned new network faces. It's hard to imagine "Boardwalk Empire" -- advertised on NBC during the telecast -- not making a big move next Emmy season and getting HBO back onto the board in the scripted drama field.
