I love Tina Fey but it was time for 30 Rock to concede but for what is worth her episode submission was the funniest of the group. She could have won any other year

I watched Top Chef for the first time last season, and from all accounts, it was considered the show's best season. The Emmy was well deserved.

The current season is not in the same league as the Emmy winning season, and I'll be surprised if it wins next year. TAR will probably reclaim it's title.

dan Kujo - Not to question "*all* accounts," but in my own opinion (and the general perception I picked up on from fans) "Top Chef: Las Vegas" was an OK season that benefited from a few strong personalities at top, but suffered from a lack of depth -- you knew the Top 4 basically from Week One. The season before, despite an embarrassingly lame winner, had had more personalities, while several previous seasons had delivered more drama. I would personally put "Las Vegas" right in the middle of the pack for "Top Chef" seasons, though definitely above this current season... But again, that's just my opinion, proving only that there was nothing unanimous about last season being tops for "Top Chef."

I was still happy to see something else win in that category. Just for fun!

Yes, let's honor some girl who, not only did nothing on TV, but also did very little in film, but who probably died as a result of heavy drug use (cough Brittany Murphy) and NOT an Emmy and Pulitzer nominated writer of two of the greatest shows of the past 20 years who died tragically of a brain aneurysm.

Emmy's dropped the ball on that one big time. I am personally outraged.

Chrissy To be fair, Brittany Murphy was the voice of Luann on King of the Hill for like, nine million years. So, she didn't do *nothing* on TV.

velocityknown Forgot about that. Apologies, but it's not like if she had died while the show was on, the role couldn't have been easily replaced.

delacourte Yes,velocity,it is outrageous. It seems that not only do the shows Mr. Mills wrote for not get any Emmy respect,he couldn't get any either.I shouldn't be surprised though. John Goodman,Khandi Alexander and Melissa Leo were all deserving of Emmy nods, and all were snubbed.

I though Archie Panjabi deserved the EMMY! She is great in The Good Wife! I love her character and i am really happy she win!

Tina Fey's comment when asked by Kyra Sedgwick to hold her Emmy, along the lines of "this is the closest I'm getting to one tonight" was brilliant.

Wonder what happened with Julianna Margulies? Perhaps she was *too* obvious a choice to win and maybe people voted against her to create a buzz? (I haven't watched a single episode of "The Closer" so I have no idea just how good Kyra Sedgwick is and if she should of won one before.)

ePastorJames She definitely should've won before. Sedgwick has been nominated FIVE times as of this year, but she also submitted an immensely complex episode, where her character faced some excruciating decisions, so it turns out that it's not a huge surprise to people like Tom O'Neil, who analyze episode submissions. Nevertheless, I was overjoyed, since I've loved The Closer from the get-go, even if Sedgwick should've won back in 2006 over that frozen-faced Medium-hag.

dan ePastorJames - You mean the same Tom O'Neil who predicted Julianna Margulies to win? He doesn't get points for saying things aren't surprising if he, like every one of his Emmy poll experts (and me and Sepinwall and just about everybody else who made predictions), picked Margulies. Sedgwick's win makes *total* sense, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a huge surprise...
