Stanley Tucci, "Julia and Julia"
Previous nominations or wins: None
Pros: It's hard for any actor not to be overshadowed by Meryl Streep, but as Julia Child's husband, Tucci engages in a delicious witty repartee with the film legend. The long-time actor could also benefit from strong reviews for a completely different and darker role in "The Lovely Bones" getting the "he's due" vote.
Cons: Tucci's character doesn't have much of an arc as he's more a foil for Streep's Child. The role could also be perceived more as a comedic one and those tend to have a much harder time getting recognized.
