Inner-label beef? M.I.A lets loose on Lady GaGa, 'Twilight'

Y'know what the most incredible concert double-header ever would be? M.I.A. with Lady GaGa. Let that pipe dream sink in: the former's not so much a fan of the latter.

"People say we're similar, that we both mix all these things in the pot and spit them out differently," she told NME, "but she spits it out exactly the same. None of her music's reflective of how weird she wants to be or thinks she is... She models herself on Grace Jones and Madonna but the music sounds like 20 year-old Ibiza disco. She's not progressive, but she's a good mimic. She sounds more like me than I f*cking do."

There's been no comment back from Lady GaGa, who is currently on her Monster Ball tour, but it causes a potentially awkward situation for the Interscope Christmas party -- both outrageous artists are signed to the label.

And who else won't be invited to that soiree, should it exist? The "Twilight" people. M.I.A., real name Maya Arulpragasam, was apparently asked at one point if she'd contribute to the soundtrack of one of the famed vampire flicks. Label head Jimmy Iovine "had a beef with the 'Twilight' people, so he stepped in and told them to f*** off."
