2009 Emmy Award Predictions
Will it be Tina or Toni? Hugh or Bryan? 'Mad Men' or 'Lost'? HitFix offers our guesses...
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES
Jon Cryer, Two and a Half Men
Kevin Dillon, Entourage
Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother
Jack McBrayer, 30 Rock
Tracy Morgan, 30 Rock
Rainn Wilson, The Office
Our Take: With Jeremy Piven out of the race -- About time, too, Emmy voters -- the path appears to be clear for Sunday night to be a well-deserved coronation for Neil Patrick Harris. He's hosting the show, "How I Met Your Mother" will probably get frequent promos and, really, he's due. The most plausible upset candidate is probably Jon Cryer, long a well-regarded part of TV's most popular comedy. We still think it's Harris' night.

The drama acting categories are the most interesting for me, however. For supporting, I'm rooting for either Paul or Emerson. Best Actor is a total tossup. I'm personally most invested in Cranston and Hamm's performances, but it's ridiculous that Laurie isn't an Emmy winner yet. The bottom line is that we'll all be better off next year when Boston %#$% Legal isn't eligible.
