From the unseen 'Forgotten' to new 'Melrose Place' the unwatchable 'Brothers,' counting down the season's worst
#3 - 'Accidentally on Purpose'
"Accidentally on Purpose" (CBS) - Premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 8:30 p.m.
Once upon a time, Jenna Elfman was funny. I honestly believe that, even if it was just for the first half of the first season of "Dharma & Greg." In "Accidentally on Purpose," she mugs, flails and shrieks in an unsuccessful attempt to make anything she's saying funny. It isn't. It's just sad. And desperate. And Jon Foster, as the male lead, is instantly forgettable. With different stars -- I've already suggested Jay Baruchel and Amy Ryan -- this might have worked. Those stars, alas, were working elsewhere. Providing the only chuckles in this sitcom retread is Ashley Jensen.
