Shawn Ryan created one of the greatest, most iconic cop dramas of all time in FX's "The Shield." Can he do something just as memorable working within the constraints of a broadcast network? Considering that he did quite well creatively with CBS' "The Unit" and his stint running "Lie to Me," we're feeling pretty good about "The Chicago Code," shot on location in the Windy City, in which Jennifer Beals plays the reform-minded new head of the Chicago PD, Jason Clarke plays the detective she's using as point man to clean up the city and the department, and Delroy Lindo plays the crooked politician on the top of their most-wanted list.
