Why: Ben Affleck's third directorial effort really looks like it could be the one that gets some awards season love after solid films like "Gone Baby Gone" and "The Town" earned him a lot of respect. Not only that, the "you can't make this stuff up" nature of the true story told in the film -- a rescue mission targeting six U.S. foreign service members holed up at the home of a Canadian Ambassador during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis under the guise of a motion picture scouting expedition -- just looks to have a lot of promise. The film is officially set for a Toronto world premiere but has been rumored as a Telluride play for a while.
