Karen O. and co. return to the scene with their first studio set in nearly five years. Not much is known about the release, other than that the New York trio will likely shift gears yet again, just as their first three albums found them morphing from garage rock popsters to electronica-driven dance divas. The band's tweet announcing the upcoming album also mentioned "spontaneous evolution," but we won't know for sure what that means until later. One thing we do know is that LCD Soundsystem James Murphy mastermind is not producing the set. He denied the rumors on L.A. radio station KCRW earlier this month.
