Low- 'The Invisible Way' (March 19)
The slow, haunting music made by the Duluth, Minn. trio has gained guitar-driven volume over their last few releases, and the band's profile has likewise risen since signing to legendary indie label Sub Pop in 2005. Their upcoming album was produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, who doubtlessly encouraged Low's experimental side. On their web site, they promise it will be "big, simple, raw, intimate." In other words, it will sound like Low. They're also celebrating their 20th anniversary and will be touring quite a bit.
