Why: The reaction to the early photos leaked from NBC's "Wonder Woman" pilot last year was a bit harsh unless you'd read the script which was terrible. Luckily, NBC realized they'd never survive the early bad press and declined to go to series.  On the big screen, Warner Bros. has been developing the Amazon's story for decades with little luck.  It's all very strange considering the focus on Princess Diana's mythological origins since the mid 80's (an epic canvas which truly differentiates Wonder Woman from her peers).  Currently, a rebooted DC Universe Wonder Woman has been a favorite of critics for its imaginative use of the Greek Gods in Diana's life. It's a creative take that might be a bit expensive for TV, but would introduce the character to a whole new generation at the local cineplex.
