Why: David Slade has been careful in terms of following up the enormous commercial success of his entry in the "Twilight" franchise, and he's spent over a year working to reboot "Daredevil" for 20th Century Fox already. The studio just rejected the latest draft of the script, and word is that David James Kelly is being brought on to do a near-total rewrite, although he'll be using the same source material as the previous writers, adapting the "Born Again" storyline. It's a smart choice that picks up the character midstream, and it's a good model for a reboot. The last thing anyone needs is yet another origin story. If this one doesn't work, expect Fox to finally relinquish their rights to the character, since they have to either make the film or surrender the property back to Marvel Studios.
