How will Warner Bros. handle Superman, Batman and the other heroes?
Will Ryan Reynolds play Green Lantern or is that a really bad idea?
We're big fans of Reynolds as an actor. He's charming, smart and has real dramatic chops. However, his performance as Hal Jordan in Martin Campbell's "Green Lantern" was not one of his finer moments. Perhaps it was the bad direction or spending so many hours in costume against a green screen, but Reynolds always seemed out of place and trying to make the character funnier than he ever was in any other incarnation. Considering "Lantern" is a huge critical and box office turd on his resume, you'd assume Reynolds would be happy if WB didn't pick up his option to star in "League." The studio may hope a different filmmaker behind the scenes will make a major difference, but we still think Reynolds was wrong for "Lantern." Now, a solo "Deadpool" flick? We'd love to see Reynolds in that.
