What characters from the greater DC Universe will help ground this story?
Would they try to ape the SHIELD characters in Avengers by bringing in some of the human support staff characters the JLA has had over the years (Snapper Carr, Maxwell Lord, Dale Gunn... or, God help us, Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog) so there are normal people who can react to these gods and monsters? Granted, we probably won't see any Super Friends references in this dark version, but something suggests the current use of Steve Trevor as a liaison between the world's governments and the League in the current comic book could easily be replicated in the new movie.
