At 35, he's probably at the outer edge of the age range for actors that Marvel Studios is going to want to cast as the lead for this film, but he's such a strong presence that it may not matter. Like Oyelowo, he is classically trained by the LAMDA, but he's been making his mark in films for a while now. Whether he's starring in high-brow genre films like "Children Of Men" or mainstream fare like "Serenity" or working in indie dramas like "Redbelt," Ejiofor is one of those guys an audience can't stop watching when he's onscreen, and if Marvel wants to give Black Panther to an actor with real movie-star charisma, they couldn't do much better than this.
