Though a worldwide star outside the U.S., Aussie Kylie Minogue remained largely known stateside for her 1988 remake of “The Loco-Motion.” Despite logging hit after hit in other countries, Minogue didn’t break through into the U.S. mainstream again until 2001’s infectious “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” which went to No. 1 in more than 40 countries and finally saw Minogue get the kind of attention, short lived as it turned out to be, in the U.S. that she got around the rest of the globe.
