Leave it Clive Davis to give an artist a reboot. Santana saw successes from Woodstock throughout the '70s, but the guitarist's popularity waned as he battled his record label in trying to make hits out of sets like "Freedom" and 1990's "Spirits Dancing in the Flesh." 1992's "Milagro" for Polydor didn't fare much better and sales were indicatively low. Fast forward and Santana collides again with a former Columbia exec Davis, who pushed him toward working with other artists-of-the-moment. The result was multi-platinum-selling and Grammy Award-winning "Supernatural," featuring guests Everlast, Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, Eric Clapton, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Cee Lo Green and Dave Matthews.
