Will Adele return to give us new music?
Patron saint of album and singles sales, savior from Top 40 Pop Tartage, She Redeemer from boring interviews and boring awards shows. Everyone loves Adele. And Adele probably loves you, she'd just rather fame not overtake her. Since singing "Skyfall" at the Academy Awards last year, the British star has been largely out of the spotlight, focusing on her personal life and family (and probably saving up her voice). She made a joke about taking a five-year hiatus, but also communicated she'll record when she's damn good and ready -- "[Songs] come when they're ready, and when I've got something to sing about." Is that time now? Wiz Khalifa said she may show up on his album (?!) and she's rumored to already have hit the studio with songwriter Ryan Tedder and producer William Orbit. Maybe she'll try a Beyonce-like sneak-attack.
