"Breaking Amish: LA" (TLC)
What it's about: The show follows a group of Amish and Mennonite young adults as they leave the bonnets and Old World manners behind to head out to Los Angeles and see how the rest of us live. So, sort of like "The Real World" for the horse-and-buggy crowd.
Why it's weird: If you didn't see the first season, which took a different group to New York City, you might be surprised by how much trouble these kids get into -- and in some cases have already gotten into before leaving their communities. It's also a challenge to fully grasp the level of culture shock these kids are facing. They might have just made it easier on themselves and moved to, say, Mars.
Why it's awesome: As often as it's funny, it's gut-wrenching, too. Plus, it's good to see that foul language, tight jeans and hanging out in strip clubs can become second nature very, very quickly.
