She appeared on “Star Search” when she was merely eight, singing “Sunday Kind of Love” from her idol, Etta James, and then, like Justin Timberlake, was a Mouseketeer. Unlike many teen sensations, she didn’t have a tough time crossing over to the pop market with her multi-platinum1999 self-titled album, but she’s had trouble holding on to her popularity. She’s struggling at radio a bit now, but continued exposure on “The Voice” and a “Hunger Games” track should cure all that.
