December 28, 2009 at 9:36AM EST Reply to CommentWow, really? Just because you found it boring doesn't make it in the top 10 worst films of 2009. Plus given it's IMDB rating of 7.1/10 and majority approval rating on rotten tomatoes, i would say you are in the minority on this one
Trekscribbler I think that's the problem with 'lists' of this sort. What makes one film bad for one person isn't always what makes it bad for another person; however, 'best of' lists tend to have greater agreement because of the nature of film criticism. I think what one dislikes ends up being influenced by far more personal issues than one likes. That may not make perfect sense (when you read it), but I'm hoping you get the idea.

December 28, 2009 at 6:01PM EST Reply to CommentJust a correction, the relationship is between Salvador Dali and Federico Garcia Lorca, Luis Bunuel was homophobic. And Javier Beltran played and excellent role as Federico and Salvador WAS that eccentric has he was portrayed by Robert Pattinson.
Ole I recall reading an account of Robert Pattinson's enactment of Dali after a showing of Little Ashes in a Chicago theater. While in the ladies room of the theater, a fan of Robert's asked an elderly woman what she thought of the movie. The woman said he did an excellent job in portraying Dali as she'd met the man. Note to author of piece: Please correct your flawed information as noted by Eva.

December 29, 2009 at 8:28PM EST Reply to CommentTotally disagree about Transformers 2; was definitely my favorite. Sure the plot line may be a little ridiculous, but it's about alien robots that take the form of vehicles.... it's not meant to be serious. Turn your brain off and watch. It's an action flick, and a damn good one imho.

December 29, 2009 at 11:58PM EST Reply to CommentSadly, when I think "worst movies of the year" I always start by asking myself, "what has Nicholas Cage been in recently?"
If "Knowing" was bad enough, don't forget "G-Force."
Bro correction, "wasn't bad enough"

December 30, 2009 at 11:52PM EST Reply to Commentlet me start with critics, just because ur job title is "movie critic" doesn't mean you have to criticize every movie you see, there is nothing more annoying then critics, movies are movies, they're made for our enjoyment, imagination and humor, as long as as movie falls into one of those three categories then its at the least a B grade movie stop taking ur job so seriously, people don't care what you think anyway, if we wanna see a movie then we'll see it regardless if you liked it or not you are pathetic

December 31, 2009 at 12:38AM EST Reply to CommentTwo movies entitled NINE/9 this year. Rob Marshall's musical NINE has nothing to do with the film "9" (the #9 listing.) Thanks for REALLY confusing things. The least you could have done was to at least address the issue?
