Some new ideas for the show in the wake of Seth Meyers' departure
Establish a weekly live, non-televised sketch show to supplement the primary program
The show need not feel bad if everyone in the cast doesn’t get equal screen time. But it’s in the show’s best interest to keep its talent constantly creating new material and characters. It does neither the performer nor the program good to have a third of its cast constantly underused. A potential solution? Create either New York’s best-kept secret/worst-kept secret with a weekly live show somewhere in Manhattan to serve as something of a training ground for the featured players as well as a safe space for established cast members to workshop new material. What better way to test out material than in front of an eager, excited live audience?
