10 underrated comic book movies

On second thought these weren't bad...

Why it's underrated: Though it ultimately made a tidy profit when taking international box-office and DVD sales into account, David Slade's throat-clutching adaptation of Steve Niles' comic book miniseries seemed to come and go pretty quickly in the public consciousness. But not only does it stand as one of the greatest vampire movies of the last two decades - fierce, vivid, unforgiving and oddly beautiful - it's also one of the downright scariest studio-bankrolled horror flicks in recent memory. The guttural, feline bloodsuckers here are the stuff of nightmares.
