How much will the fate of "The Lone Ranger" affect Johnny Depp's future with Disney?  He already returned to play the beloved Captain Jack Sparrow in the critically lambasted "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" without buddy Gore Verbinski, but after $1 billion worldwide in ticket sales who needs critics?  Now, if Disney ditches Verbiniski again over "Ranger" (the original "Pirates" helmer was jettisoned after "Pirates 3" hit a $300 million budget), will he really come back to star in the planned "PIrates 4 and 5" features?  Money heals many bruised egos, but at some point Depp has to stand up for his friends right?  Surprisingly, the possibility of another "Pirates" was never even hinted at during the studio's presentation.
