The destruction of Krypton
Krypton's destruction received some play in the footage shown at Comic-Con, but clearly Warner Bros. didn't feel it was yet fit for public consumption. Given the radically different treatments of the planet's explosive annihilation in Richard Donner's "Superman" and, alternately, Bryan Singer's "Superman Returns" (it's realized far more vividly in the former, for one thing), it'll be interesting to see how Zack Snyder approaches the pivotal event in his version. Whether you're a fan or not, you have to admit he knows his way around a striking visual.
