James T. Kirk is clearly at the center of this film
While it could be argued that Abrams' first "Star Trek" was as much Spock's (Zachary Quinto) movie as it was Kirk's (Chris Pine), there's very little of the former and a whole lot of the latter in the first "Into Darkness" preview. Of course it's hard to tell with only a minute of footage at our disposal, but with shots of Kirk jumping off cliffs, making eyes with a special lady ("Men in Black 3"'s Alice Eve), punching out bad guys and facing off with Benedict Cumberbatch's mysterious main villain, "Into Darkness" appears to be a Kirk-centric affair.
