5. ABC is having nostalgia problems
While "Charlie's Angels" and "Pan Am", two cornerstones of ABC's fall schedule, aren't near the ratings disasters that, say, "The Playboy Club" is (or, rather, was), both nostalgia-driven series experienced big drops in their second weeks, particularly disappointing for "Pan Am" given its generally positive reviews and encouraging debut numbers (nearly 11 million total viewers and a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demo). If they don't level out in subsequent weeks, it's unlikely either series will see a Season 2.
