Andrew Garfield makes a surprise appearance and Marvel announces Spider-Man will appear in 'Avengers 2'
Garfield is no stranger to making surprise appearance at Comic-Con, with his unexpected showing at last year's "Amazing Spider-Man" panel becoming one of the festival's true highlights. And with rumors abounding about which new heroes will join the team's lineup in "The Avengers 2," it's hard not to imagine the actor turning up during Saturday's "Iron Man 3" panel to announce Spidey's involvement in the hugely-anticipated sequel. After all, the web-slinger has been a member of various iterations of the superhero group over the last several years, most recently in the "Heroic Age" line of "Avengers" comics that began running in May 2010. On the outside chance that this actually happens, you might want to have your ear plugs ready - or just scream like an insane person along with the rest of the Hall H crowd.
