15 Breakout Stars of Summer 2012

Diego Boneta, Josh Henderson, Lucy Griffiths and more

Every summer Hollywood delivers a little bit of the unexpected. It's not necessarily that surprise hit movie or TV show, but a performance you didn't see coming. Last year it was "Bridesmaids'" Melissa McCarthy. On the TV side you had Jason Gann from "Wilfred." In years past it's been Jonah Hill and Michael Cera in "Superbad" or Abigail Breslin in "Little Miss Sunshine." 2012 should be no different.
So you are predicting 15 performances that you "didn't see coming". Isnt that a contradiction?

If you can predict a sleeper hit, then it's not really a sleeper hit.

Pizpot Gargravarr I think the idea is that the general public won't see it coming.

I'm a big fan of Alison Pill- I think she's a great actress and she's cute as a button.
If you like sports movies you should check her out in Goon. It's pretty dopey and low-brow but surprisingly charming.
    Can't wait for The Newsroom.
