Is Ryan Murphy about to tap an favorite collaborator for a key role in the second season of "American Horror Story"?
According to EW.com,
Joseph Fiennes is in negotiations to take on a regular role on "AHS," playing the head of the institution that also employs the character played by Jessica Lange. The two characters are having an affair, but to paraphrase a former Fiennes character, the course of true love won't run smooth.
Fiennes and Murphy previously worked together on the FX pilot "Pretty/Handsome" and on the film "Running with Scissors."
The most recent TV credits for Fiennes have been "FlashForward" and "Camelot."
"American Horror Story" will return to FX in October.
