50 Cent sets July 3 release date for next album
Apparently, in two weeks' time, 50 Cent will be dropping his next studio album. The rapper told Philly's Hot 107 that his next LP, titled "Five (Murder By Numbers)" will drop on July 3.
"I said I was gonna put a record out that was completely up to album standard, and I'm gonna do that. I worked on this album for a long time. It's been three years."
But the tiny amount of promotion for a just-announced album drop may not stick, nor fly with Interscope. And to Fif, it may not matter, as its his last contractually obligated set for the notoriously shrewd record label.
"Labels at different points, they drop the ball," Fif said. "It's not visible when the momentum is feverish. For me, with Interscope, all the success I've had in music has been with them."
Leading up to this release, 50 Cent has issued two mixtapes, "Lost Tape" and "The Big Ten." His last full-length album was "Before I Self Destruct."
