Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn will lead Lifetime's 'Flowers in the Attic'
Heather Graham and Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn are attached to star in Lifetime's new adaptation of V.C. Andrews' pervy classic "Flowers in the Attic."
Andrews' 1979 mega-bestseller focuses on four children raised in isolation in the attic of their grandmother's mansion. There's a whole thing about their mother functionally abandoning them and their presence needing to be kept secret from their grandfather and all manner of psychological abuse.
Graham will play Corrine, the mother, with Burstyn playing the grandmother, according to Deadline.
Deborah Chow will direct from a script by Kayla Alpert. They won't have to work hard to top Jeffrey Bloom's generally savaged 1987 feature film adaptation.
