Fans may get to re-enact 'The Hunger Games' at theme park
Remember all those brutal teen murders witnessed by Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) in "The Hunger Games"? Kids were stabbed, hacked, poisoned, and even stung to death by genetically-modified hornets.
Soon, fans may get the relive all those grisly ordeals in real life.
During Lionsgate's quarterly conference call with analysts, CEO Jon Feltheimer noted that the studio has been "approached in two territories about potential theme park opportunities" revolving around the dystopian world of the "Hunger Games" franchise, in which young tributes are selected to battle to the death in high-tech arenas.
"We’re pursuing them," he added, although no more details about the project were revealed, according to Deadline.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens November 22.
