HBO sets 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 directors
Per the unofficial "Game of Thrones" house publication Entertainment Weekly, five directors will tackle the totality of "Game of Thrones" Season 5.
The directors will each tackle two episodes apiece.
Michael Slovis ("Breaking Bad") will do 501 and 502, followed by Mark Mylod ("Shameless") on 503 and 504. HBO veteran Jeremy Podeswa ("Boardwalk Empire") will do 505 and 56, followed by FOX regular Miguel Sapochnik ("Hieroglyph"). The last two episodes will be helmed by "Game of Thrones" favorite David Nutter.
Lots of "Game of Thrones" favorites are missing, obviously, including Alex Graves, Neil Marshall and David Benioff & Dan Weiss. Also missing? Four-time "GoT" director Michelle MacLaren, which is all the more glaring since none of this season's episodes will be directed by a woman.
"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will premiere next spring at some point.
