Sandra Bullock circles Will Smith's 'Annie' remake
Tomorrow will be another day for Sandra Bullock.
The star is in early talks to appear in Sony and Overbrook Entertainment's upcoming musical remake of "Annie."
The Oscar winner ("The Blind Side") would play the key supporting role of Miss Hannigan, according to The Wrap. "Beasts of the Southern Wild" Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis starring in the title role, while Jamie Foxx is playing a hip variation on Daddy Warbucks known as Benjamin Stacks (get it?).
Miss Hannigan is the stern headmistress of the orphanage in which Annie resides. She was memorably played by Carol Burnett in the 1982 big screen version.
Will Smith is producing the film along with Jay-Z, while Will Gluck ("Easy A") is directing.
Bullock will next be seen opposite Melissa McCarthy in the comedy "The Heat," an will soon appear alongside George Clooney in Alfonso Cuaron's sci-fi film "Gravity."
"Annie" will be released December 25, 2014.
