'Jurassic World' is not a reboot, will take place 22 years after original
It's been more than ten years since "Jurassic Park III," and many fans were expecting that the long-delayed fourth installment would be a reboot of the franchise.
However, "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow says otherwise.
"Reboot is a strong word," he stated on Twitter. "This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park."
Rumors suggest that the film will bring back the theme park element of the 1993 original, which will be 22-years-old by the time the latest sequel is released in 2015. Of course, plot details are being kept under wraps, and nothing is known for sure.
Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, and Nick Robinson are set to star. Steven Spielberg will produce.
"Jurassic World" will roar into theaters June 12, 2015.
